Shaw Green Space is in the Florence Lake neighborhood of Langford, B.C. This green space is formed from the gravel fire road that connects Shaw Avenue to Florence Lake Road. This ninety meter long pathway is gated at both ends and is near Shaw and Ironwood parks as well as the trail along Florence Lake. There are limited views of Florence Lake from this green space. This route is frequented by dog walkers, hikers and walkers.

Shaw Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway also called Hwy1. Turn at Millstream Road and turn left at the log house pub onto Treanor Avenue. Continue along Treanor to reach Setchfield Avenue. Turn right onto Setchfield Avenue then take the first left onto Shaw Avenue. The park is near the junction of Shaw Avenue with Buckler Avenue. There is limited roadside parking this area.
Cedar and spruce trees provide ample shade over the grass areas and small clusters of snowberry bushes in Tawny Park. This small neighborhood nature park is along Stancil Lane in View Royal, B.C. The semi circular shaped park is bordered by Stancil Lane and Tawny Lane. There is a wood fence along its south side. Welland Legacy Park is at the eastern end of Stancil Lane and is worth a visit. The Galloping Goose Trail, Knockan Hill Park and Chancellor Park are nearby.
Tawny Park can be reached from Hwy1. Turn off on Exit 8, Helmcken Road, and head northward toward the Victoria General Hospital. Continue on Helmcken Road to Burnside Road West. Turn right onto Burnside Road. Take the second right onto Eaton Avenue and left onto Stancil Lane. The park is at 1257 Stancil Lane at the junction with Tawny Place. There is limited roadside parking. City buses travel along Burnside Road.
Lovely horse chestnut trees line the sidewalk and roadway into Gorge Road Hospital Green Space from Balfour Avenue. This road is shared with the neighboring condominiums. Built in nineteen seventy three, the Vancouver Island Health Authority operates this residential care facility which covers over three hectares along the Victoria Arm section of the Gorge Waterway. Chapman Point, upon which this green space rests, projects slightly in to the waters. For use of guests, staff and visitors, a spacious grassy knoll as well as about many pathways allow exploration of the hospital’s outdoor spaces. It is worthwhile to enjoy the rhododendrons, azaleas and other flowering shrubs that area bordered by lush green cedar hedges. A couple of Douglas fir, willow and maple trees provide shade throughout the area. Across the waters of Victoria Arm are Banfield Park and Burleith Park which can be access using the walking and bicycling trail of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. Arbutus Park and Cecelia Ravine Park are a block to the east. Harriet Road Green Space is to the west along Lotus Street.

Gorge Road Hospital Green Space can be reached from Blanchard Street. Turn west onto Finlayson Street and continue past Burnside Road West to reach Gorge Road East. Follow Gorge Road East to Balfour Avenue and exit into the parking area for the hospital. A city bus travels along Gorge Road East from downtown.
