The paved trail through Highbank Park is the neighborhood walking and hiking route for this quiet area in View Royal, B.C. The trail curves along the ridge beside the chain-link fence to connect with a fire access road that leads to the Island Highway. The fire access road has limited access due to three green posts near the highway. This park has several tall Douglas fir trees along its steep slopes as well as a few arbutus trees and smaller shrubs. There is a bench along the trail with a view to the north, through the trunks of trees. The shrubs and trees below the bench are part of this one tenth of a hectare parkland.
