Meadow Vale Drive Green Space

Meadow Vale Drive Green Space is used by dog walkers, hikers and residents of the Thetis neighborhood in View Royal, B.C. This green space is a wide grass covered roadway designed using gravel and permeable pavers that provide structure. As the fire access road, it connects Marler and Meadow Vale drives to provide a convenient pathway in this secluded residential area. The green space is located immediately northwest of Marler Park. Snow berry bushes, Himalayan blackberry bushes blend into the rock garden on the west side of the green space. The east side has a wood fence along the property line. Chalmers Court Park, Riverside Drive Green Space, Thetis Lake Regional Park, Craigflower Creek Park, the Galloping Goose Trail-View Royal, the Trans Canada Trail-View Royal and Francis View Park are nearby.

Meadow Vale Drive Green Space can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway, also called Hwy1. Take Exit 11 onto Six Mile Road to reach the Old Island Highway. Turn left onto the Old Island Highway and stay on the roadway as it becomes Burnside Road West by passing under the Trans Canada Freeway bridges. Continue up the hill to the junction of Burnside Road West and Watkiss Way. Turn left onto Watkiss Way and turn right onto Marler Drive. Continue on along Marler Drive past Dorothy Drive. The green space is at the end of Marler Drive where there is a small paved parking area for Marler Park. City buses travel along Watkiss Road to the junction with Highland Road.
