Chalmers Court Park 1 Chalmers Court Park 5Chalmers Court Park is in the quiet residential Thetis neighborhood of View Royal, B.C. Located near the bottom of a ravine, this park has a sixty meter long wooden staircase down to the playground and grass covered area. The park entrance along Riverside Drive looks has a unique wooden covered gate that leads to the staircase. The playground has swings, slides and climbing apparatus. There is also a decent size lawn for bocce, tossing a Frisbee or getting warmed up to stroll up the staircase. The park is overlooked by at about ten homes most with wood fences or cedar hedges along the park perimeter. Riverside Drive Green Space, Thetis Lake Regional Park, Craigflower Creek Park, the Galloping Goose Trail-View Royal, the Trans Canada Trail-View Royal and Francis View Park are nearby.

Chalmers Court Park can be reached from the Trans Canada Highway, also called Hwy1. Take Exit 11 onto Six Mile Road to reach the Old Island Highway. Turn left onto the Old Island Highway and stay on the roadway as it becomes Burnside Road West and passes under the Trans Canada Freeway bridges and continue up the hill to the junction of Burnside Road West and Watkiss Way. Turn left onto Watkiss Way and follow the road as it curves to the right to become Highland Road. Turn right onto Riverside Drive and look for the arch along the road to the right near the junction with Park Ridge Place. There is limited parking in this residential area. City buses travel along Watkiss Road to the junction with Highland Road
