Slightly smaller than a quarter of a hectare, Hereward Green is a triangular green space in the western edge of the Vic West neighborhood in Victoria, BC. It borders on the Capital Region District E&N Trail, the old railway track, and the Esquimalt Substation. The rail line trail passes over Hereward Road near this park. The park is has Garry oak and some old fruit trees providing shade to a bench within the green space. There is a low concrete wall along Hereward Road with three accesses to the park. A staircase to access the Green near the railway has nine steps. The northern most access connects with a seventy five meter long sloped pathway. This pathway leads up the slight hill from Hereward Road to the railway tracks and Trail. Hereward Green is several blocks from Victoria West Elementary School Green Space, Banfield Park and Bernard Park.

Hereward Green can be reached from Blanchard Street. Turn west onto Bay Street and continue across the Ellice Point Bridge. Continue past the intersection with Skinner Street and Tyee Road then turn right onto Wilson Street. Follow along Wilson Street to reach Hereward Road just before Wilson Street is merges with Old Esquimalt Road. Turn right onto Hereward Road and pass under the railway bridge. The green space is on the left. There is limited roadside parking. A city bus travels along Esquimalt Road, about two blocks south, from downtown.
