Located beside the community center, the Victoria West Community Tea Garden has a wonderful collection of herbs. Some you might recognized from their smell, others from their appearance. Lavender, lemon verbena, marjoram, rosemary, thyme and mint have distinct smells when a leaf is rubbed, gently. Rosehips, coriander, violets and chamomile are more familiar in appearance. If you need a refresher on what is what visit the Vic West Community Center for tea sometime soon. Take some time to explore Banfield Park with its playground, forest and trails along The Gorge. This is a wonderful garden in your backyard.
