Queens Park, Victoria, BC

At first glance Queens Park appears to be part of George Jay Elementary School Green Space which is just through the chain link fence. This 0.16 hectare parkland is mostly a grassy area with footpaths so a terrific area to walk your pet or toss a ball around. There is a baseball backstop fence near the play area as well as benches for taking breaks. The playground has a roundabout, sets of swings, climbing structures with slides for toddlers and big kids. The woodchip base protects those who may tumble. The eighty meter sidewalk connect Queens Avenue along the southern side of the park. The rest of park is bordered by a chain link fence. This park is a very short walk to George Jay Elementary School Green Space. Central Park with Crystal Pool and Royal Athletic Park are both about a block away along Queens Avenue. Enjoy the double white hawthorn trees along this street that were planted in the nineteen thirties.
