Curiously a Chilean Pine tree, aka the monkey puzzle tree, (Araucaria araucana) has been placed in the middle of Pandora Avenue Green Space. This reptilian looking conifer always catches my imagination as well as many local gardeners as there are several around the Capital Regional District. There is also a lovely grassy area next to the bus stop on Pandora Avenue with a small grove of white birch trees. Come out and explore your backyard with a stop at this green space before continuing to the pathways and playground at Stadacona Park, just across Pandora Avenue.

Pandora Avenue Green Space can be reached from Blanchard Street. Turn east onto Johnson Street and continue past Fernwood Road as the road curves to become Begbie Street. Stadacona park is located on the left a block after the intersection with Pandora Avenue/Oak Bay Avenue. Turn left just past Stadacona Park onto Belmont Avenue, where there is roadside parking or continue to the Stadacona Center where are shops to enjoy. The green space is just across Belmont Avenue next to the Stadacona Center. Pandora Avenue is one way street and although Johnston Street is also an one way street, Begbie has two directional traffic. Confused yet?
