Haegert Park

Haegart ParkHaegert Park has plant displays developed by local residents within its 0.28 hectares of grass and trees land. Located near Victoria High School Green Space and Fernwood Community Gardens, Haegert Park has a Y-shaped forty-five meter paved pathway. The footpath is frequented by pedestrians, dog walkers and runners from Grant Street. Visit the giant sequoia tree and the big leaf maple which can be found in the grassy areas that border the pathway. This park has shared ownership between the Victoria School Board and the City of Victoria.

Haegart Park can be reached from Blanchard Street. Turn east onto Bay Street and then left onto Chambers Street. The park borders on Chambers Street near the junctions of Yukon and Grant Street. Look for the park on the corner of Yukon and Chambers street where there is some roadside parking. City buses travel along Fernwood Road about a block from this park.
