Gower Park

This six hundred square meter parkland was once an orchard with eighteen fruit trees. It was donated to the city by the Gower family. Border by a tall cedar hedge to the southwest, this small grassy area forms end of Pembroke Street  before it meets with Fernwood Street. A twenty five meter paved pathway curves through the park where there is also a bench to enjoy the view of Fernwood. Victoria High School Green Space is south along Fernwood Street whereas is Stevenson Park is a block west along Pembroke Street. Alexander Park is also nearby.

Gower Park can be reached from Blanchard Street. Turn east onto Bay Street and turn right onto Fernwood Road. The park is right across the intersection of Fernwood Road and Pembroke Street.. There is limited roadside parking along Fernwood Road. A city route travels along Fernwood Road toward Victoria General Hospital in View Royal.
