The road right of way of Albert Avenue is a linear green space that connects to Richmond Road near the Royal Jubilee Hospital. The concrete pathway leads between 2320 and 2314 Richmond Road and is shaded by hedge trees and fences from the homes nearby. The pathway to Albert Avenue bends as it continues by a nonaplex townhouse. The Royal Jubilee Hospital Green Space is across Richmond Road, to the east. If you have time stroll westward, wander past the large conifer tree at 1731 Albert Avenue, Rose Dale. The giant sequoia stands tall beside this character converted house, now a pentaplex, originally built in eighteen ninety-eight. This home was constructed at the back of a double lot which has since been subdivided. What is remarkable is that the giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) tree was retained during development. At least twice the height of the three story home beside it, this tree is possibly twenty meters tall and close to a hundred years old. Across the street, is large Garry oak tree in a concrete planter, another old specimen. Come out to explore some big trees.
