Surrounded by residential homes, the green space at the watery end of Downey Road once provided access to the excellent sandstone shore of Saanich Inlet. At the moment this green space provides good views across the waters of Saanich Inlet. Mill Bay and Cherry Point on Vancouver Island can also be seen. The wooden water chute and culvert that direct water down the cliff makes this place a curiosity to visit. This viewpoint of the Salish Sea make this a lovely place to start a walk around the neighborhood of Deep Cove in North Saanich.
